Don’t Feel Guilty About Putting Yourself First January 26, 2019 by rosacshetty View this post on Instagram What a timely reminder for me…I been sick on/off since December 24th. This week I unexpectedly got sick again…this means yet another week of cancelations/rescheduling of clients. I encounter so much guilt knowing that some clients will take it so personal, others will get angry and lash out at the secretaries, some will question my work ethic and will decide not to see me again…I wonder what my boss and colleagues think of me, and the list goes on and on. . . When I reflect on this “guilt” part within me I realize how quickly and easily she makes herself present given the right conditions… I then gently remind this “guilt” part that I “see” her, I “get” her, it’s okay to feel the way she feels…I ask guilt to notice where she lives in my body and together (with the guilt part of me) “we” connect to this place…until “guilt” once again gets comforted, soothed and she can finally rest until the next time… Art by @recipesforselflove . . . . . #innerhealing4women #innerchild #partswork #richardschwartz #healing #selfcare #mentalhealth #spirituality #yogini #mindfulness #selfawareness #innerchildwork #awakening #healingjourney #complexptsd #holistic #higherconsciousness #cptsdrecovery #meditation #healyourself #ptsd #cptsd #health #traumahealing #emdr #complextrauma #peterlevine #intuition #womansintuition A post shared by Rosa Shetty, LCSW (@innerhealing4women) on Jan 23, 2019 at 5:55pm PST Share this:TwitterFacebookLike this:Like Loading...
