Bio

I have been in the field of trauma since 2007. I have over 11 years of direct clinical experience. My career started working for the department of Children and Family Services in San Bernardino County. In this setting I  provided direct intervention to abused children and their families.  I have worked at Loma Linda University Medical Center (LLUMC) which is a Level 1 Trauma Center for adults/pediatrics. While at LLUMC, I provided crisis intervention and immediate psychological debriefing to patients/victims of sexual assault, violent crimes, domestic abuse, etc. I have experience working for the Department of Veteran’s Administration (VA) providing direct intervention to veterans and their families. Currently, I work for Kaiser Permanente Psychiatry Department providing mental health treatment to adults, children, and families.  The services described in this website are provided through my own private practice located in the Los Angeles area.

On a personal note….

I was born and raised in Southern California as first generation Mexican-American.  I have a tri-cultural household: Mexican/Indian/American. My family and I embrace the richness and diversity of our heritage.  I enjoy watching movies with my husband, cooking, reading, art, travel, and playing with my puppy and kitty!
